About Chosen Help and Empowerment Foundation (CHEF)

Chosen Help and Empowerment Foundation (CHEF) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable individuals, restoring hope to disadvantaged communities, and creating sustainable opportunities for lasting social change.‎

‎Since our journey began in 2020, we have remained committed to addressing some of society's most pressing challenges through education, humanitarian assistance, vocational empowerment, healthcare support, rehabilitation, and community development. Our work is driven by the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, purpose, and hope, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Our Story

From Compassion to a Movement of Hope

Chosen Help and Empowerment Foundation (CHEF) began in 2020 when our founder, Omotayo Oluwafemi Oni, started personally providing palliative support to elderly and vulnerable people.
Over time, this act of compassion grew into a broader vision: to move beyond immediate relief and create lasting opportunities for vulnerable children and young people through education, empowerment, mentorship and rehabilitation.

In 2025, a group of passionate educationists joined the vision, bringing together experience in education, youth development and social transformation And On 3 July 2026, CHEF was officially registered as a foundation dedicated to turning vulnerability into opportunity.
Today, we work to help disadvantaged children and young people access education, develop skills, receive mentorship and build brighter futures.
We believe that poverty should not define destiny, and every child deserves the opportunity to realise their potential.

This is CHEF — Empowering Lives. Restoring Hope.

Why We Exist

Across many communities, countless children remain out of school, families struggle with poverty, women and widows face economic hardship, and many young people lack access to education, skills, and meaningful opportunities.
‎CHEF exists to change that
Through education, scholarships, youth empowerment, mentorship, rehabilitation and community support, we create pathways that help vulnerable children and young people move from vulnerability to possibility.

Our Vision

‎To build a world where every person has the opportunity to live with dignity, purpose, and hope, regardless of their background, circumstances, or past.
